A day in the life…

It’s fair to say it’s been a pretty hectic year so far! Since I decided to take my blog and vlog seriously I feel like I haven’t stopped!vlogger metro

I thought I’d fill you in on everything that’s been happening lately. I was featured in an awesome three page spread in Metro a few weeks ago. They came to my house to do a photoshoot, but I wasn’t expecting such a glowing article, so was really chuffed.

By the way I have about 20 copies of the paper as various people collected them for me – not sure what to do with them now!!!

The Home Genie away from home

I’ve been spending a lot of time in St Albans at a very cool new development called Gabriel Square. The developer, Meyer Homes, liked my videos so invited me along to see what I would make of their new homes.vlogger jack

Jack, my cameraperson/editor, and I have had some real fun making these, as Gabriel Square has so much to talk about. There are a number of fun social media videos to come, and you can check out my blog post here.

Blasting Jack’s ears by sneezing into the microphone, getting stuck on a mirrored sculpture and eating too much cake in one day were my particular highlights…

I also had my 3 year old Bonnie with me for one of the days of filming. When she refused to do any more filming until she got a babyccino I decided to take a long hard look at my parenting skills.

Yesterday was probably a bit of a low point in my career as a vlogger though as I had to walk down Oxford Street (London) with a selfie stick filming myself walking really slowly in amongst the crowds looking at me like a total loser!vlogger selfie stick

It was worth it though as the video looks great. Oh how I suffer for my art!

We also made a video for a brand new DIY product, which is so exciting I am not even allowed to talk about it until it is launched at the end of July!

I can’t wait for you to see that video as I know you will love it. If I say that involved my toddler Bonnie, cat Dexter, shelves falling and glass breaking, that gives you an idea! Watch this space!

This week I was in Norfolk at another new build development with some really interesting innovations.

I love how as a vlogger I get to hear about all these things happening and nose around these homes. Plus I was working with an amazing team there so I consider myself very lucky. I’m going to save all of these details for a future post and video though, so you will just have to keep coming back…vlogger bonnie

Raining cats and toddlers

Of course all this is alongside getting up at 2.45am to present BBC weather…oh and being a mummy to my 3 year old Bonnie and cat Dexter. Note the hubby doesn’t even get a look in at the moment bless him!

I’ve also been discussing things with my architect and Doug the builder as I will have an exciting build of my own happening in the next few months, which I will be blogging and vlogging about of course.

My book!!!

The main thing that has been keeping me busy is my book though! It’s going to be called ‘A Street-Wise Guide To Buying, Improving And Selling Your Home’.

vlogger bookMy publisher’s deadline is the end of June, so I am frantically tapping away every spare second! For this reason I won’t be doing a blog post for a couple of weeks, so bear with me, but you will of course be the first to hear when you can preorder your copy!

On that note, I’m just going to crack on with the final few thousand words now. I’ll still be on social media every day, but see you back here in a couple of weeks.

Nice blog Georgina, good to see your interest in property. My great contribution, re-building a 60 feet engineered (no panels for me) fence, using feather edge red cedar cladding! Hope to do the garden gates to g o with the fence in the Summer!

    • Wonderful – a woman after my own heart! Send me photos!

Not sure how to attach photos here!

Wow Georgina you’ve been a busy lady! The secret DIY product sounds interesting as well does your latest slow mo walk – it should be a cool effect!

Considering how hard your working, too much cake is totally allowed. Glad Jack was there to rescue you too otherwise you’d be a new sculpture in St Albans.

Good luck with the end of the book. I’m sure you’ll make it on time and I’m sure it’ll sell well.
